Mathew 24-25 Part 130 – The Parable of the Talents & the Letters of Paul

Paul like Jesus, warned of the judgment of the body of Christ according to their use of the gifting and ministry that each one had been entrusted, according to their own ability. Paul quoting Jesus, identified that judgment as the judgment of “each person according to his deeds” (Romans 2:6 Mathew 16:27). Jesus placed that judgment at his coming to establish his Kingdom in the lifetime of own generation (Mathew 16:28). Those who would take up their cross and “follow him” (Mathew 16:24) were the faithful slaves who had increased their masters talents (Mathew 25:19-23). The judgment of all men – to reward and to punishment – according to their deeds, took place at the return of the Master in AD70.
