The gospel of the Kingdom (Mark 1:14-15, Mathew 16:27-28) was the proclamation that the Kingdom of God would be established in the lifetime of Jesus’ first century generation, in fulfillment of Daniel 7. According to Daniel 7, the kingdom of God would be established and received by both Messiah and the saints, during the rule of the Roman empire – the 4th beast. The great commission was a first century message for a first century mission, which cannot be extended beyond the days of Roman rule, or the lifetime of Jesus’ contemporary generation (Daniel 7, Mathew 16:27-28).
