The great tribulation (Mathew 24:21) was the judgment of God that came upon Old Covenant Israel through the Roman armies in the Jewish-Roman war between 67-70AD. The great tribulation was the “days of vengeance” and great wrath upon Israel (Luke 21:20-22), which according to both Jesus and the prophet Daniel, was fulfilled at the fall of Jerusalem in AD70.
