The great tribulation of Mathew 24:21 was the covenant-judgment of Jehovah upon “Babylon the Great” (Old Covenant Israel) between 67-70AD, for their murder of the “prophets and the saints” (Mathew 23:29-26, Revelation 18:20-24) in fulfillment of Deuteronomy 32. The judgment of Babylon has been fulfilled, and the “plagues which are written in the book” (22:18) came upon Old Covenant Israel, through the last day’s great tribulation of the first century.
