Mathew 24 – Part 65 Old Covenant Jerusalem = Babylon of Revelation

The biblical doctrine of the vindication of the blood of the martyrs clearly identifies Old Covenant Jerusalem as Babylon of Revelation – the city guilty of shedding the blood of the saints. By quoting Isaiah 13:10 in Mathew 24:29, Jesus was not only prophesying the judgement of Jerusalem by Rome, he was identifying Jerusalem as spiritual Babylon. Through their persecution and murder of the saints, Jerusalem of the first century had embodied the pagan nations of both Egypt and Babylon, had become guilty of their sins, and would therefore be judged and destroyed as the enemies of Jehovah. This video has powerful implications for the interpretation of Mathew 24 as well as the book of Revelation.
