In this video we show that Jesus used Isaiah 13:9-11 as a prophetic source for his words in Mathew 24:29. Both the language and theme are identical. As we shall see, Jesus’ quotation from Isaiah 13 not only proves the symbolic nature of his words, but the identity of Jerusalem. Old Covenant Jerusalem had not only become spiritual Egypt (Galatians 4, Revelation 11:8), it had become Babylon – the glorious city turned harlot – who had defiled the temple. Babylon would be judged in AD70.
