By comparing the judgment of Babylon as prophesied in Isaiah 13 with the judgment of Jerusalem as prophesied in Mathew 24 and other New Testament texts, we can further identify Old Covenant Jerusalem as spiritual Babylon, that is, Babylon of Revelation. The once holy city had become the unholy great harlot, Babylon was about to be judged.
