In this video we demonstrate once again how the parables of Jesus help to interpret his eschatological discourse in Mathew 24. In Mathew 13, the “sons of the evil one” (the unfaithful of Israel) would wail (mourn) and gnash their teeth when they were judged and destroyed at the end of the age, while the righteous entered the kingdom. In Mathew 24, “all tribes of the land” would “mourn” when they were judged and destroyed (24:29) at the end of the age (24:3,14,34), while the “elect” (the righteous) entered the kingdom (Mathew 24:31, Luke 21:31). Clearly, all the tribes of the land (24:30) referred to unfaithful of all 12 tribes of Israel who “mourned” over the fall of Jerusalem and their Old Covenant world (cosmos) at the end of their Old Covenant age in AD70.
