Isaiah 2:3
And many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; that He may teach us concerning His ways and that we may walk in His paths.”
For the law will go forth from Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
As a response to a good friend of mine who happens to be a Jehovah’s Witness, I point out the fact that Isaiah 2:3 is set in the context of “Israel’s last days” (2:1-2). And according to Apostle Peter, the last days were present in the first century (AD30), and were signified by the pouring out of the Holy Spirit upon Israel in fulfillment of such texts as Joel 2:28f, and Isaiah 32:15. To place the last days of Isaiah 2 in our (2018) future and to disconnect them from the restoration of Israel in the first century, is a monumental theological blunder.
