In the parable of the mustard seed Jesus was teaching that through his life and his message the restoration of the Kingdom and the gathering of all nations in fulfillment of the prophets (Ezekiel 17) was at that time being accomplished. The mustard seed was the the “Tender One” plucked from the lofty top of the cedar and planted on the high mountain of Israel (Ezekiel 17:22-23). Jesus is the mustard seed!
