The Prophets in the Parables #21 A Summary of the Parable of the Vineyard

Through Jesus’ three symbolic acts, his allusion to Isaiah 5, and his application of Israel’s “stone” and “Son of Man” prophesies; the parable of the vineyard (Matthew 21:33-45) reveals the redefined-climax to Israel’s “last-days-story”. Through the message of the gospel and the imminent judgment of those who had or had not received it, Jesus as Yahweh was bringing salvation to his church who had become the remnant of true Israel, and judgment to the Jewish nation who had become the ultimate and eschatological enemy of God.
