In this short video we investigate Jesus’ second symbolic act in both Mark 11 and John 2, as well as the Old Testament passages to which they allude. The overthrow of the “den of robbers” means the building of the “house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56). And, the reproaches of Israel that had fallen on David had now fallen on Christ because of his zeal for the Father’s house. Their table and become their snare, and their “camp” would soon be made desolate (Psalms 69:22-25, Mathew 23:38).
