The mistake of the premillennialists is not that they insist that Jesus would return in “just the same way” as the disciples had seen him go into heaven, that much is true. Their mistake is that they fail to consider parallel texts which paint a fuller picture of “how” they had seen him go into heaven. In this video we demonstrate that the disciples saw Jesus taken up (ascend) in “glory”, through the presence of the “glory-cloud” (Acts 1:9, 1 Timothy 3:16). Jesus was emphatic that he would come (return) in glory in the lifetime of His first century disciples (Mathew 16:27-28). Just as they saw him go (in glory), so he returned in their lifetime.
