The book of Hebrews establishes beyond doubt that the Old Covenant was fading away, and the New Covenant was being established through a “transitional process” in the first century. We call this process “covenantal transition”, which began at the cross in AD30, and ended at the coming of the Lord and the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70. (See Hebrews 8:13, 9:6-10, 10:9)
