According to Jesus in the Matthew 22, the coming of the Lord for the wedding in Isaiah 62 was to be fulfilled at the burning of Jerusalem and the judgment of the Jews who had rejected that wedding. Furthermore, Matthew 22 does not teach a consummation of the wedding beyond AD70, but the consummation of the wedding following the great commission prior to AD70. The coming of the Son of Man in Matthew 16:27-28 was the second coming of the Lord for the wedding in Isaiah 62; this was fulfilled at the coming of the King to consummate the wedding at the fall of Jerusalem and the ruin of the Jewish nation in AD70 (Matthew 22:1-14).
