Matthew 16:27-28 #22 The Messianic Regathering of Israel II

The consistent testimony of both Old and New Testaments, is that the eschatological regathering of Israel was to take place in the first century generation, specifically, at the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70 (Deuteronomy 30:1-6, Isaiah 27). And, since that eschatological regathering of Israel was to take place at the second coming of Christ (Isaiah 40, Mathew 24, Mark 13 etc.), then the second coming of Christ must have occurred at the fall of Jerusalem in AD70 (Mathew 16:27-28). Once again, the time of the “gathering together of the elect” determines the time of the second coming of Christ.
