The parable of the wedding feast must be understood through the lens of Old Testament prophecy concerning the restoration of Israel and the return of the covenant-presence of the Lord [the second coming of Christ] to bring salvation to his people. The restoration of Israel through remarriage was to take place in Israel’s lasts days; which did take place in AD70, signified by the fall of Jerusalem and the divorce of Old Covenant Judah. The remarriage of the new Israel (the body of Christ) was consummated at the full establishment of the New Covenant.
